Getting started

1. Install TacitusCam on your main phone and choose “This is my main phone (Viewer)”.
2. Tap + to get a 6-digit pairing code.
3. Install TacitusCam on the old iPhone, choose “Use this phone as a Camera”, and enter the code.
4. Put the camera phone on a charger, pointed where you want to watch. That's it — recording starts immediately.

Tips

• Keep the camera phone plugged in; continuous recording uses power.
• The camera works best foregrounded with the screen on (it dims automatically). Disable auto-lock if needed: Settings → Display → Auto-Lock → Never.
• LiDAR presence detection is available on iPhone 12 Pro / Pro Max and later Pro models — toggle it from the camera screen.
• Live view runs a few seconds behind reality by design; the timeline is the source of truth.

FAQ

Is the free plan really free? Yes — 24 hours of cloud history, 2 cameras, detection and alerts, no ads.

How do I cancel Premium? Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

How is my footage protected? Uploaded over TLS, stored in the EU, auto-deleted after your retention window, viewable only from your paired devices. See the privacy policy.
